Orville Palmer, 1995 Middletown High graduate and 2X State Champion, returned Saturday November 10, 2001 to instruct a FREE clinic at Berlin H.S. Orville returned to CT after a very successful college career that earned him All American honors while at Colby, KS and the University of Oklahoma by placing 7th at 197 lbs in the 2000 NCAA Championship. Most recently, Orville competed in the Sunkist Kids tournament in Tempe, AZ placing third in the heavyweight division. His only defeat came at the hands of Tolly Thompson whose is 3rd on the Olympic ladder.
Orville continues to train and coach with the University of Oklahoma wrestling team while managing a youth facility in OK.
